Is Religion a social instrument to control the masses?....Is it a phycological coping mechanism to help us cope with the ordeals we otherwise wouldn't?....Is it simply hope for the hopeless? Your views......

Gay Pride

Ok... welll i'm hoping people who read this aren't homophobic....
It was suggested that people around the world wear purple in support of Gay pride day today. As we've all heard...(if you haven't..now you will) That a number of young gay teenagers have been committing suicide, due to bullying at school from thier fellow peers, due to thier sexual orientation. NOW as if its not hard enough being a teenager, bullying someone becuase they're gay? Really? I think after all the turmoil the human race has been through over centuries, ppl would learn a little more tollerance. In fact it shouldn't be a factor of tollerance, it should be a factor of humanity.. the one little thing thats sepperates us from being wild and barberic animals... (plz forgive any spelling errors in this post...grammer not my strong point).. Please tell me your thoughts on the idea. =]

Awesome Books....

OK.... so lately I've been reading a lot of books....... I'm really enjoying the Solstice.. the sequel to the devouring...... =] However.... I've been on the endless search for one awesome book... Any suggestions???
